I am so excited to share these Old Town Alexandria Engagement Photos with you! Old town was a perfect location for Chelsea and Nick to have their engagement photos. Since our first call together, Chelsea had explained to me that she had this vision for Old Town for their photos from the very beginning. She loves the way the cobblestone streets line up with the water and all come together for a beautiful and cozy small city scape. I thought this vision was absolutely perfect for them and made a few outfit recommendations so that their photos came out classic and timeless. We started their engagement session by meeting at Founders Park, where we did a little bit of posing and played a few games under the trees by the water and then walked around the rest of the town.
What is great about Old Town is that there’s always great lighting no matter where you are if you are near the water because the water creates light that highlights your skin tones into the camera. After we did a little bit with greenery we ventured into one of the streets to get that cobblestone and more industrial look in their photos. I especially love photos of couples walking in Old Town and doing a more candid lifestyle look for a few. We also lucked out with the most PERFECT sunset by the water at their of their session, and so we headed out onto one of the docks to get as much sunlight as we could and it was SO worth it! It is an honor to see Chelsea and Nick’s love and document it and I cannot wait to watch the two of them get married this spring!
