What to do BEFORE a Wedding for Photographers:
If you are wondering what to do on the business side when preparing for a wedding, this is the black post for you. I am outlining the process of preparing and making sure you have all the information you need so you feel confident photographing a wedding.
What to do BEFORE a Wedding for Photographers:
- Send Questionnaire to couple
So the first thing I’m doing is I’m sending a questionnaire to the client to ask them for all the information I need for their wedding. I’m sending this through a Honeybook automation I have set up at 45 days out, and the reason I’m doing it at 45 days out is because that’s when they actually know the answers to all these questions.
So when they first book, I’m sending them a different questionnaire to get to know them.
But this is a questionnaire about all the logistics of the day. My HoneyBook automation is automatically sending this out at 45 days out. You can do it earlier if you want. I just find that I found that 45 days to be a good timeframe.
Watch the Youtube video here to get all of the questions that are in the questionnaire:
2. Draft final email.
So this is the pre-wedding email that I’m trying to work for towards, I’m trying to get everything together so I can send this email and it says: please approve this final timeline and this final family photo list.
And then here’s a note about your details prep box.
