If you’ve ever wondered how to cull and edit an engagement session efficiently while maintaining stunning results, this post is for you! In this video, titled Cull + Edit an Engagement Session with Me (Aftershoot + Imagen + PicTime), I’m sharing my exact workflow for transforming raw engagement photos into a polished gallery ready for delivery.
Step 1: Culling with Aftershoot
Culling 1,300 photos can feel daunting, but Aftershoot makes it a breeze. By automatically grouping duplicates and narrowing selections, I reduced the session to just 313 photos. I’ll walk you through how I refine those selections to keep the best moments.
“Automation is a lifesaver, but having the photographer’s eye ensures every chosen shot is meaningful.”
Step 2: Editing with Imagen and Lightroom
Next, I demonstrate how to edit efficiently. Using Lightroom and Imagen, I apply consistent color adjustments, fine-tune skin tones, and ensure each photo looks natural. Pro tips include setting up a dedicated Lightroom catalog and syncing edits across lighting changes.
“Consistency is key in delivering galleries that flow seamlessly.”
Step 3: Delivering with PicTime
The final step is exporting and delivering the gallery using PicTime. This platform allows you to showcase your work beautifully and provides an easy way for clients to download and share their photos.
Why This Workflow Works
By combining Aftershoot, Imagen, and PicTime, I save hours while delivering galleries my clients love. Whether you’re handling wedding photography or engagement sessions, this workflow is adaptable to any project.
