Honeybook Smart Files are an incredible new resource for photography business owners, its a fresh, fast, and new way of doing things and I’m so excited to share it with you!
What are Smart Files?
So what smart files are is basically a faster way of getting your clients to book things with you. So before in the legacy templates, we had brochures. You would send a client a brochure (a display of all of your packages), they would have to create a submission and basically submit something that they wanted to book with you, and then you would have to wait for this submission and send another email with a proposal of what they selected. So it wasn’t automated that someone could both pick what they want and pay for it ever in Honey book before now.
But now they can look at different options, pick and pay all in one file.
And that’s called a smart file.
How I am using Smart Files to my Photography Business
So for me and my business, I have a lot of different automations, but basically for weddings what I like to do is when someone inquires I like to set up a call with them so I actually won’t be applying this to my wedding photography but where I am going to apply smart files and where this is huge is for me is for portrait sessions.
1. Portrait Inquiries
So if someone inquires through the portrait form on portrait contact form on my website, I can now send them a smart file to book their session and pay and schedule their session all in one.
2. Album Sales
So in my wedding photography business I sell albums. And what I always had to do before Smart Files was send out a brochure with all the different options and then wait for them to select which one, and then create a proposal. But now with the smart file, I have a new automation that sends that brochure and just lets people pick and pay for their album right away.
