There are so many beautiful wedding venues in Virginia, and the Clifton Inn is definitely an all time favorite. It is the perfect venue to make your own, and it’s almost like a playground for us wedding photographers! From the getting ready spaces, to the beautiful front lawn for your ceremony, to a gorgeous and private tented reception -there are so many spaces to make your own, and so many photo opportunities. I even love the driveway at the Clifton Inn, which we used at sunset for Diana and Alejandro’s portraits.
and the study was PERFECT for his getting ready photos. Not all venues have the perfect space for both the bride and groom’s getting ready portraits, but this one definitely does. What I loved about Alejandro’s portraits was the background, and the overall masculine look and feel of them. The two opted not to do a First Look, and see each other for the first time coming down the aisle, which made for the most captivating entrance of all entrances. After the ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour where they enjoyed passed hor dorves under umbrellas in the shade, and mingled with one another while we took family and bridal party photos. We were able to create space for Alejandro and Diana to have time for just the two of them for their portraits as well -which is so important for wedding couples when you opt not do have a First Look. They were able to take a breath and share special moments together before going to greet all of their guests and head to their reception. The tented reception had the most classic, timeless, and gorgeous decor that paired perfectly with the lighting. They opted for minimalist greenery for an indoor garden theme. What really brought their reception look together in my opinion though, was the black and white checkered dance floor. It really was a focal point of the evening and a beautiful backdrop in their photos. Diana and Alejandro were surrounded by so much support and love on their special day, and I know it will be one we all cherish for a lifetime.
