I am so excited to these country engagement photos with horses with you! This session was one of my first sessions back to photographing engagements after the COVID crisis, and what could be better to kick of wedding season again than this special session!
Tamara and Tim actually met on the dance floor at The U Street Music Hall. They then danced and talked the whole night with each other and exchanged phone numbers at the end. For their first date, they went to a Mexican restaurant in Leesburg and had watermelon margaritas and fajitas. Then they we went to Harper’s Ferry and hiked around until sunset, and they they went to a pub before Tim took Tam back home.
Fast forward to today, and these two are engaged and planning their wedding for next summer in Middleburg, Virginia. They run an equestrian business for a living, and also work in car sales. So for their engagement session it only made sense to incorporate Tam’s very own horse, Jimmy, who she has had for almost all her life. When I asked Tim and Tam what they hoped for for their engagement photos, they said they hoped the photos would capture a bit of their wild and adventurous side, much like their life together.
This was my first time photographing an engagement session with a horse and now I am not sure how all my other engagement sessions will live up! All jokes, but I am so grateful to capture such sweet and genuine moments and hope that these photos will remain cherished in your home. I’m so excited about your love for one another, and can’t wait to document your wedding at Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast next summer.
