Multiple Contact Forms for Photography Business Owners

As a photography business owner, this subject actually came up early on in my business and I had to ask myself: should I have multiple contact forms on my website?

Now after many years in business I have found the answer, which is: -it depends!

You may be in a place in business where you are servicing multiple kinds of clients, ex. portraits and weddings and crafting a great and different business process for each of them.  There are a lot of youtube videos on here and on my channel about how to make a photography website and business tips for beginners, but this video focuses specifically on the contact forms. I use Honeybook and Showit and WordPress for my website as well.

I think it is most helpful to watch my demonstration and explanation of this topic on the Youtube channel:

So I have an entirely different business process that I’m handling wedding wedding inquiries for than when someone reaches out for portraits.

Wedding Inquiries

So for wedding inquiries, I have an automation set up in Honey Book that when someone fills out that contact form, that’s the trigger to start an automation and send an email. I am automatically responding to the contact form and I’m sending them a link to schedule a call.

If you want to see the 12 things I think you should include in your wedding contact form as a wedding photographer, you can also head to that post also.

Portrait Inquiries

And then for portrait inquiries, people that fill out that form and they are automatically sent a smart file. Smart files are new to HoneyBook and super exciting because  clients can pick, pay and book their session all in one place.

So that’s how I handle those two different ways, and it’s because of two different workflows.
