Pinstripes Wedding DC: Renee and Jay met on New Years Day in 2015. They have mutual friends from college and that holiday, they rented a cabin in Deep Creek, Maryland to go skiing. Jay asked Renee out and for their first date, he to her to a cooking class in DC where they drank nice wine and champagne. Renee says their first date was the best date ever and something she will always remember.
Fast forward and they got engaged in Paris. Their first night exploring Paris was their extravagant night so they got all dressed up and hit the town. They went to a 3-Star Michelin restaurant for dinner and then walked to the Eiffel Tower. The weather had been on/off raining so there weren’t a lot of people there. They walked over to Trocadero for a better view and when they got to the top of the stairs, Jay made eye contact with a violinist who started playing their song (Love by Nat King Cole). After they danced to that song, Jay got down on one knee and popped the question! The little crowd that formed started cheering and then a photographer came out of nowhere and they did a photoshoot at the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
They planned to have a big wedding in 2020 with all of their families and friends, but 2020 had other plans for them. Not wanting to wait any longer to get married, Jay and Renee decided to scooter to the bowling alley where they frequently hang out, and say their vows to each other there. They are planning a big wedding reception in 2021 with friends and family, as well as a honeymoon trip to South Africa.
