Post Wedding Workflow for Photographers | What to do AFTER a Wedding

Let’s talk about the business side of the workflow, for what to do after you photograph a wedding: the exact email template I used to send a couple days after their wedding. This email includes an expected gallery delivery time. I also share my master file which helps me keep all my wedding clients organized and on track for the business, as well as takes my workflow all the way through to after I blog the wedding.

So if you’re more interested on what I’m actually doing with the photos, like my backup system, editing system, getting photos into the gallery, all that kind of like photo heavy stuff, you can see all of that in my video here:

Monday After a Wedding Email:

After a wedding on the Monday after, I always send this email and this is what it looks like.

The Saturday I put in there is 6 weeks from the day of the wedding. So I just tweak this email to have the correct date and then that’s all. It’s a good way to be proactive with your couples so that they don’t have to ask you, Hey, when are the photos gonna be ready?

My Master Google Sheet

Okay, so the other thing I wanted to show you is this file I have in, um, Google Sheets.

You can do this in Excel or Google Sheets, and I call this my master file. This is how I stay organized.

So as I shoot things, I add them here and I add the date that they were shot. Then I have this workflow set up for myself to remember, and if its a No, I type no -breaking the workflow.

You can watch the video version of this process here also:
